Blobfish? Rainbow Trout? Siberian Taimen?
Anyone knows where I can get these fish? I already donated the blobfishes that we get from a quest but Im still missing a bunch.

Each time I reach the end of winter, I reload an old save and I try fishing in another location. Ive been doing this for 2 whole real life days but the only fish I can find is the Horse Mackerel, which seems to be pretty much everywhere. Do I need a really high fishing level or something? At the end of winter, Im usually fishing level 7. (I forgot to reduce the time speed in settings. Thats why I wasnt able to level up more)

Reloading my save over and over again and fishing non-stop is getting really boring... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you remember how many hearts Musashi had when you triggered that event?

It's probably the same quest you received your blobfish from; it's a 2-ish heart event where Musashi invites you to go fishing.

Oh... Yeah, its like you said. Its probably the event I mentioned. Darn... I thought I could have completed the blobfish offerings with this. T_T

If getting Blobfishes and Rainbow Trouts is this difficult, Ill probably never get those Siberian Taimens.... We need to offer 10 Blobfish & R. Trouts but only 3 S. Taimens, meaning that its gonna be even rarer than the 2 others. T_T

Summer's indestructible sugar cane, Fall's shape-shifting Swiss Cheese Plant and now the insanely rare fishes for winter.... Offerings! World-class S!!!!! T_T

Still no rainbow trout or siberian taimens though..... I guess Ill treat this as some kind of bug and move on. Im already at the end of winter anyway and Im seriously getting tired of starting over.

Yeesh; if they're related to fishing level, I've got a lot of work to do.

I think it is, unfortunately. Since I reached fishing level 9, the Horse Mackerel (<- the 4th fish you need to donate to the shrine) have been popping up way more often. Before that, I was still able to fish them, but very rarely. Since I reached level 10, Swordfishes have replaced the mackerels in terms of rarity and right before I reached level 11, BAM! I fished that ugly bast*rd. It cant be a coincidence.

Oh and one last thing that I always forget to mention: Do NOT buy horse Mackerels from Torleone. I dunno if this is a bug but the shrine wont accept them.

I mean it does also say it’s the winter offering so it’s possible they’re more prevalent during that season.

May I ask where you were fishing the Blobfish from, was it at the docks or at the waterwheel? I'm already fishing 9 and a few days out from fall, so hoping to at least start working on the collection during fall to free up more time to look for trout/taimen

And just to let you know, I was 2 catches short of reaching fishing level 11 when I was able to fish my first blobfish. At level 9, you wont have any problems fishing some horse mackerels, but youll have to be extremely lucky to find a blobfish. Also, dont trust what it says on the fish's page about it only appearing at night. The one I found, I found it during the day.

EDIT: Apparently as of when I posted this, they released a new patch to fix the offering from bought fish. If it isn't working, check for patches instead of doing a workaround like I had to.

You CAN buy from Torleone, just put them all in a chest and do a combination of sleeping and saving the game and quitting. it worked after some time, dunno which specific order it did.

It DID in fact NOT WORK buying directly and then going to the shrine.
