MyCareer progress lost forever?

I had two MyPlayer/MyCareer slots active. But today the save files literally disappeared.

I mean, with more than 100 hours of play time dedicated to this mode it would be a bit of a disappointment.

In the meantime, I have opened a ticket to 2K support. Has anyone experienced similar problems and been able to resolve?

I've experienced the same issue with previous NBA 2K23. I would uninstall the game and reinstall, just to find all my saves gone. I did the same thing thing just recently, and I'm suffering the same issue. I swear, I wont be spending a single dime on a 2K sports title ever again after this. The fact that its still a issue, and the ONLY thing anybody can do is contact 2K support, shows that they're either REALLY incompetent, or they just don't care about how they treat their customers. Which I believe is both.

This happened to me in WWE 2K22 as well. 2K's sports games are the only ones I've encountered which don't store saves independently of the game directories, such that when you uninstall them, the saves go with them. It's quite maddening, and I will always backup saves independently as a result.

This is a large part of why I only bought this game when it was under 10 and with no expectations of playing MyCareer or MyPlayer as a result, either. Purely franchise stuff with historical players. Even then though, I backup saves. It's really odd to me that only their games (at least in my experience) seem to do this, too. Any other game I have on Steam, I can uninstall without losing any save progress, and reinstall to find my saves still present, as they're stored separately.
