there is also no coding in the game for a compass.
Could somehow mod it to also sit out of the map screen in a top corner or something.
best we can do is move stuff around or change the colors.
we can not do anything else to the UI.
I'm not too skilled with cheat engine, but if anyone hanging out around the discussions page is, this could be a fun small project for them. From what I could tell messing around for five minutes, the cameras left/right rotation seems to be calculated like 120 ~ 320 with tons of numbers afterwards. But changing the 4 byte memory for that did not change or freeze the angle, so it may not be found there precisely.
I also have a faint memory reading somewhere, that Chris in particular was against us modders using the cheat engine. Someone with better memory may correct.
I have taken reminding everyone of the possible illegalities as my duty, not because I wish to hamper your joy, but to keep you from doing something you might regret later. Well, at least going in informed of the grey area.
Basically all it does is scans the running processes memory and allows viewing or modifying it in real-time.
