Playable cannibal mod?
The assets are still in the FCS, but when I try to use them for an alternate start they crash the game. What needs to be done?

The start town is no longer there. in the FCS, remove "Town" from the game start..... wait, FIRST, make a duplicate of the cannibal game start in the FCS (just a good habit to get into) and then remove the Towns from the duplicate. Rename is duplicate if you dont want the name of the start to be Cannibal copy or something.

then you should start rendomly

This link might help too, since there is no cannibal village yet on the new world, I think.

I tried it, for some reason it still crashed. I dunno why.

EDIT: Maybe it has something to do with the cannibal model itself?

Updating to say I can't add fogmen to my squad either. It must be something about the custom textures. I'd love to know how to add them and cannibals and suchlike to the character creator.

I was digging thru the FCS after reading this thread and noticed in the race menu under the line titled "playable" theres a tool tip mentioning completely playable races require an editor xml and some other data file.

Im not too familar with Kenshi's file management but I'd suspect there's one you could copy and edit as a template and get it working.

How'd you do it? Would the same thing work for Cannibals?

I just copied the race of whichever isn't playable, (in my case, Deadhive-Prince-Soldier or prince) And make them playable. for the cannibals, you may have to copy the human race and check the files of the cannibal skins.

Or just add a sub-race to human with the cannibal skins. But by the way the race will not be functionnal cause we cant add the eat-corpse fonction for player.. Maybe this can be possible with a building trick (a cooking pot for exemple) with the corpse disposal function and it'll produce dried meat.. i had to see if its possible or anyone can try this?

Honestly I just like the cool tattoos. I can live without the actual cannibalism.

So i show u the step to do that your own: Do a new mod in FCS -> Race -> Human open it -> add race -> select cannibale -> open it and left window 'playable' set true. Normaly that's run

You want to play as a cannibal? You're sick and twisted! Still, if bandits dropped raw meat as loot it would help with the constant hunger issue... But certainly not hides.
