Translate a given mod
I read this manual

https://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10511&sid=ee9b32497527ffcd9da03d44531e2214

but i am a bit confused how to use the FCS to extract a file/files that/which only content the strings/content or dialogue of the mod I want to translate with i.e. Poedit.

somewhere in this manual above i loose it.

So if anyone could give me a little help how to translate a given mod (in maybe a way that i could send the original author just the file with the translation or post just the translation), it would be nice. After some hours of trying how to manage things in FCS i am clueless....

So as an example: The mod "tame beasties"

if I want to translate the Dialogues and make a version for my language, how do you do this most elegant?

Guide to Translations[www.lofigames.com]

thank you, this is the same link I posted above which I read. Though I read this link about a dozen times it doesn't help me. And further documentation doesn't seem to be anywhere.
The information base about the FCS and modding is pretty spartanic.

that's pretty much the only information on translations.

This means I shouldn't ask if an experienced modder could help me understand how to best translate a mod, or what do you want to say me? Yes, it is the only information I found, which introduces the system quite nice but leaves me with some questions. I try to find it out by myself, but maybe some nice soul has tips.....

at the moment i see only the way to change the dialogue directly in the mod and save it into the mod. Anything else I try with the FCS doesn't function.

you make a new mod and import the information from the other mod. then you change it from there.

ah, ok. I think this I missed. I try it, Thank you very much!
you can also choose which parts of the mod to import while you are merging it.
