question about the conquering mechanic in kenshi

hey quick question about conquering a settlement:

if the holy nation lose a city to the sheks can the sheks again lose it to the holy nation or to another faction?

if i kill the shek commander in the newly conquerd city will it just be desolated?

Generally the world states are only one way, they can never return to normal without an import. There are a few cases where they can flip between alternate overrides though, if you repeatedly trigger the conditions for them.

hmm ok thank you i guess.. what is exactly that meaning? is there any mod for like constant conflict? where factions over take each others cities?

Lost in the Ashlands includes some dynamic warring like that I beleive. Where the factions will often invade and take towns from each other.
