Unable To Open Gate From Inside

My person is running round the other side of my base which is still not walled up in order to go and open the gate fron the front.

The gate will open if my person has their face up in the gate though...

Any further away than this results in person going other way. If my outpost is completely walled in, the person will not even be able to open the gate unless they faceplant the gate first.

This just means they were close enough to the front side to trigger it.

It doenst happen too often. But in this case, I had my entryway all set up real nice before I found out.

Nav mech doesnt work
Restarting game doesnt work.

Only thing that Ive found to work is destrying the whole thing and placing it in a different spot, which is of course... frustrating waste of time and resources.

Here I have removed the old gate, and placed a new one in a slightly different place, and attemtping to open the gate from the inside... and failing again.

You can see from the screens that your person goes around to the other side to open it.

Perhaps it has to do with terrain. But, Ive had this happen before when I had a gate on flat clear ground so... Well you have my savegame file now, please fix it.
