1080i with letterboxing instead of 1080p on GTX770

When I select 1080 resolution fullscreen, the game runs in 1080i instead of 1080p. The view has black letterboxing on all four sides. 720 fullscreen works fine (i.e. 720p no letterbox).

I have an Nvidia GTX770 and an Acer G235 monitor, connected with HDMI. These are the only GPU and only monitor on my system (Dell XPS730x desktop)

This is the only game that does this. Every other game i have will work in full 1080p with no letterboxing, so my hardware is definitely capable of it. Perhaps it's an Ogre3d problem.

Borderless window works fine, so I can still play the game. But I really would like to see this fixed because I much prefer 'true fullscreen' to 'borderless window' (and also because there's no real reason to leave this broken just because people can use borderless).


p.s. I did try to search but "1080" brought no results and "1080p" brought results from every post that had "p" in it (great job, Valve). I found some results on google where people were having a problem because they were using a TV or laptop. I'm using a desktop with a proper monitor, so it's not that.

As an update, 720p isn't fine either. I was mistaken. There was no letterboxing, but it was actually running in 1280x800 when I selected 720p. Looks like true fullscreen is completely borked. I hope they get it fixed.

On a positive note, this game has a lot of promise. Really enjoying it so far. Nice atmosphere.

Yea. Fullscrean defiantly has its issue's. That's why for now i just tell people to use borderless untill Fullscrean is fixed.
