Hardware Mouse + Mouse Scrolling
I play the game from a MacBook Pro 2015 with the discreet video card. I find that I need to enable hardware mouse to provide the best user experience moving the mouse around and clicking.. but the mouse speed is WAY too fast. Even with all the in-game mouse optons set to smallest values, if I middle-click to try and move the camera around it is just way too fast. The minimum setting is 2. I think the actual needed value is probably somewhere around ".5"

Oddly, if I disable hardware mouse, this speed issue is not present... but then I'm left with a super laggy mouse and game.

Are you using a Mac OS?
Or windows OS?

I'm booted to Mac OSX, running VMware VM of Windows 10. The VM has 12GB of RAM and 8 CPUs allocated to it. As far as the game's perspective, I'm running Windows OS. I *wish* this game supported Mac OS X.. then I wouldn't need to run Windows.

I am working towards getting Boot Camp set up so that I can boot directly to Windows. It'll take me a couple days to work through that. I'll let you know if that changes this behavior.
We don't do tech suport for non native windows. Because your dual OS setup may be causing the issues.

Though you can run it. We dont recommend it unless its on a windows only OS.

Sorry

I use the edge scrolling setting instead of mouse button anyway. I find it more controllable/easier.

yippeekiay -- Do you mind explaining further what you mean?

As far as my dual OS setup.. I'll have Boot Camp set up later today and will be able to test to see if it is related to running Windows in a VM or not.

I finally realized tonight that you mean to drag the mouse to the edge of the screen and use that to move the camera around. I tried that and it works so-so.. can't seem to quite get the settings right. But without the middle-click working, this seems to be the best way to play.

I'll update again once I get Boot Camp going to see if the middle-click behavior changes or not.

ahh, sorry, glad you worked it out.

Can be used at top & bottom of screen too. I just use edge scrolling plus my mouse wheel to zoom. Works for me ;o)

I'm pleased to report that after getting Boot Camp running so that I could boot directly to Windows, I was able to see a massive graphics performance boost. I'm now able to run at near maximum settings with very little degredation in performance. My mouse scrolling issue is now resolved too.

I have to admit, I had to do quite a bit of tweaking to get it right. I'm glad there are so many options, but it seems the defaults were far off from usable for me.

I did have a huge graphics issue caused by Windows not having my monitor driver installed for my 39" TV I use as a monitor. It took me some time to figure out the right magical incantation to get the game into the right resolution. I was NOT able to use full screen mode due to this issue. But running borderless not in full screen looks amazing and I couldn't tell you it wasn't fullscreen already.

All-in-all.. for any other MacBook user who may stumble upon this thread..
In your ATI Radeon Control Panel set:
* GPU Scaling: ON
* Scaling Mode: Preserve Aspect Ratio
* Set the game resolution to 1920x1080 (or whatever your monitor's native resolution is)
* Set the game to NOT full screen, and YES to borderless
Yea. There is a currently known issue with fullscreen. We always suggest borderless as a fix untill fullscreen issue is fixed.
