Sun ground reflection To bright?
idk maybe because my eyes are light sensitive to anything bright. but the sun seems to be reflecting a bit too much off the ground.??

Get GAPA. its free google it. You can REALLY alter contrast, gamma, brightness, way beyond any moniter settings or game settings. You can also save settings under different names. After you get the look you want just exit out and play.

I've not been getting anything like that... closest i get is some light reflection off certain furniture in npc saloons gives them a bright wet effect.

If anything it often feels like i'm playing in the gloomy shadows with brief instances of proper daylight since it went .74.x
edit: scratch that i can replicate and its coming through the mountain see no clipping comparison.

I have seen the light reflecting off bushes, the roof edges of level V walls, and almost any other surface that can bounce the light.

If one looks at the pictures above the light sources are contradicting one another, the cactus is illuminated but also casting a shadow but in only one direction. The primary light source comes through the mountain from a fixed point and the areas that are light should in fact be dark.

I was wondering if the over brightness isn't too much light but a lack of shadow rendering properly leaving white patches that add to the natural light creating the exess whiteness observed above? ... dx11 74.2 ... pure speculation feel free poke holes in this ;)

edit: similar to messing up your alpha transparancy when reskinning a model wrap leaves white patches when hit by exterior lighting.
