Character Faces
I was very excited to see the new faces with the new update, as I imagine many where.

However I was quickly disappointed. The new faces seem sickly, sad, depressed, and sometimes very young and boyish.

With the old system I could create an intimidating male, or an eye pleasing female. With this new system that is seemingly impossible.

Many sliders are missing, one in particular that I loved was the chin slider. You can do so much with someone's chin.

Characters now seem very uniform and uninterested. Everyone in the game looks sad, bored, or sick now. Sure, some of the old faces looked a little "piggy" as Chris put it, but I would take them any day over the new system.

I hope this new character creation system is not complete, as I cannot stand it. The stances are a nice addition, but many of them look awkward and forced.

Will we see improvements and changes?

Will I get my chin slider so I can add some masculinity to my men?

What changes will we see if any?

Forhead height / depth
Skull (back) depth
Eyes size
Eye socket size
Eyebrows tilt
Mouth depth
Mouth expression (smile/pout, open/close)
Jaw depth (especially for overbite/underbite lips)
Ear size/position but that one is really optional imo.

Hah! "Do I have any?" She asks. That's a pretty mean joke, pretending that I never made a feature request thread about it. The primary thing I'd like is:

A separate color slider for eye colors, please.

The rest, along with all their explanations, can be found here: http://www.lofigames.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=4447.

+1 for eye colour

Facial tatoos piercing or scarring would also be nice.

Age slider

Non realistic settings ie wider range of values, i quite like to have bigger 'more' anime eyes and bright hair as these are about all i can see on the portrait to link it to the toon when playing.

It would also be nice if the helmets/hats took some of their colour from the hair that they obscure... but i understand this is probably beyond the scope of the question.

I'd like to see a way to randomise the idle animations. Having my character cross his arms is cool but not when hes doing it 24 7 .

I would love seeing an eye color, I think I'm the 4th vote? lol

Eye color for sure. My vote goes to literally anything that gives more depth to the creation process (within reason).
Haplo May 14, 2015 @ 1:20pm
Eye brow color to match the hair.

Thanks for the reply Koomatzu. I am glad I will be getting my chins back. :)

No problem!

But I'm sorry, despite pretty much everyone requesting eye colour, this most likely won't be added. Technically, it would just take too much time to add compared to stuff like chin re-sizing. Sorry to disappoint

There really needs to be a face depth slider.

Not sure if that's what it would actually be called, but basically if you are making a very small framed person, it's impossible to get their head the proper size to fit their body. You can make the width of the head smaller, and you can make the overall size smaller, so that it looks pretty good from the front, but one glance at the characters profile will see the head/face still being far too "long" for their body.

Also, a cheekbone height slider would be nice.

Is the rather funky looking facial hair a product of dx11 highlighting the deficits in the original models/textures or is it hardware/settings related at user endpoint?

Face depth works perfectly for the name. It's basically what every other game calls it.
