you have to spend a lot of time training your combat skills to overcome getting pawned.
The reset positions is kinda fickle, it got broke a few updates ago. it used to reset your squad to the top of the map. now it rests to where your camera is at time of save. ( usually but is known to not always work )
Importing into a new game is based on your saves, in the import area you select which save you wish to import into a new game by clicking on the save to highlight it, then check off the options you want, like keep your current research, or keep your buildings or reset your position.
The you click import and the game reloads your world resetting all the NPC populations and adding new nest spawn points.
Side note, you can only import 1 save at a time. can't combine them, like 3 squads on different saves.
when I import into a new game, it imports everything. doesnt matter if i tick on buildings or not, the same ol fort i built always gets imported as well.
this happens if you ever used the ingame editor.
only one way to fix it.
delete gamedata.base located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Kenshi\data
then revalidate your game cache.
If your buildings are still there, then you will have to delete the data folder then revalidate.
