super skinny body question

sometimes when i recruit new recruits they are obscenely skinnier than normal, no matter what i put the sliders on, im guessing the game has different bases for body types or something is there a way in game to change that? maybe ill just make her even more ugly for roleplay or something...

Just as a quick guess: could the nutrition maybe be a factor? For my current run, I haven't really taken care about the optics of my chars.
As I think about, if you check the character screen, its says for some skills that it affects the visible physical bulk, I think there was even something that negatively affects this. that could be another explanation.

If character is starving, red in the hunger line like hungry bandits, some drifters and slaves they will be super skinny.
I say feed them so they are not starving and they will return to normal.

Yeah, starving people will be thinner than normal until fed. And also some races are smaller on average, like scorchlanders. A starving scorchlander would probably be very thin.

ohhh i didn't factor hunger, i was just wondering why if i put one of my current characters and thee new recruit on thee same exported body they should be identical and didn't see why they weren't i guess that explains why i see their ribs and such

And yet another player 'peels the onion' of Kenshi and realizes the depth of the game.
No slight intended here to OP, once you realize some of these 'quirks' the game really becomes much more than you expected and just grows and grows... (︶^︶)
