"Bad Stuff - Ran out of VRAM"???
I running a 2080ti, everything was fine up until just a little bit ago when this error popped up. Now it's giving me this error on launch, Im monitoring my hardware and it's barely even touching my available vram. So whats the deal? How do I fix this?

Turn textures down to Medium in the game settings. I got this error when I ran high textures for a certain amount of time in the game. Not sure if your scenario is different from mine though.

seriously? on a $30 game? I just bought this and thats a very worrying problem to have, hopefully it gets fixed asap.

the game pushes several of is functions into the GPU to take the load off the CPU.

If it ends up happening to you, I was able to fix it by verifying integrity of the game files. This game is very buggy, but it's very addicting. Mods definitely helped the experience.

OP try this, you cannot notice the difference b/t vanilla textures in vast majority of cases. Also put some sliders back if you are trying to push view range of everything too far, and simplify shadows and reflections until stability is assured, then move up step-by-step.

Care to enlighten us? I use MSI AB and have no issues for years, so just curious.

I have that mod, Ive installed all the recommended performance mods.
And no, I dont use msi afterburner. Not really sure why I would need that, this game doesnt really put any stress on my hog of a rig. It barely runs over what I run at idle. I fixed the issue by verifying files, I guess something got corrupted or something.

Hmmm, I think you would be surprised. If you do not have a custom fan profile then you aren't hearing GPU cooling fans likely because manufacturers are deliberately setting fan curve to be more quite. GPU temp will climb and then throttle performance before the fans can ramp up by default.

I have a 3070 with 3 cooling fans and five fans on the case and GPU temps running Kenshi are in low 70's (MSI sets 83 C as default max) but it stays cooler than that only because of my aggressive fan curve. Suggest you monitor your temps.
