Old Buildings Will Not Go Away?
I started building a little town on my first game, just sort of poking at the different building types and getting used to build mode. I'd started as a trader, and was kind of annoyed at having to keep finding people to hire so I deleted that save and started a new one, this time picking the Freedom Seekers

Except my old town is still there, but now it's part of Trader's Edge.

It was a pretty good spot- about halfway between Trader's Edge and Brink, nice open area to expand. I'd like to be able to start over there, but now that it's part of Trader's Edge I can't even demolish the buildings.

I started another new save to see if that would make it go away. Between that and a few touchy-computer issues on my part, I started *six* new saves. All of them still had the town. I decided to import my latest, making sure that importing buildings was *off*. The town is still there. I did a full uninstall and reinstall, but the town was still there.

Initially it was just an annoyance (I wanted to rebuild it!) but I tend to fixate on things and after fighting with it for the past five hours my number one goal right now is to get it the hell gone.

Any advice on how to get rid of it without using the editor (I will break something. It's my superpower) would be appreciated, because I am approaching puppy-kicking levels of frustration.

delete the data folder then revalidate your game cache.

or unistal Kenshi, go to the flder and make sure all folders are removed then reinstall.

First one should work.

Allow me to elaborate on why that fixes it, and keep in mind that that doesn't mean deleting your save games. There's a bug where sometimes player towns will get added to the map data, instead of just the save game data. This means the town will be stuck to the map, and thus present in all games. So redownloading the data folder, which a large chunk of is the map data, will fix the issue, and I think even still have your town there on the proper saves.

note: this bug occurs most frequently due to using the in-game editor (shift+F12).

-cackles- Haha, it's gone! Many thanks, Hatsune.

And Tolwrath, I'll keep that in mind. Glad to know I won't have to make new saves in the future. (Also this is why I avoid the editor.)
