I see them as something you get before you have beds. It may even be something your character comes with, like those starting medkits.
I'm ok with the lowest regain on a bedroll, with a timer for the instalation of a temporary camp, i think that will be balanced.
The player can choose behind city, outpost and nomads life for his squads. It's just for diversity.
And Nomads way of life was more dangerous than the others.
And more, Mr floppy was just a temporary npc. in a game, with my nomads team, i buy rapidly 1 house for 1200cats in every town. Or I build "caravansérai" camp on my roaming territory.
Mr floppy don't see me in my endless travel ^^
Bedroll would be interesting to have as a deployable item, but the system for deployable interactable items other than dropping items on the ground I don't believe is in the game. No idea what that would require, but it would certainly open up the possibility for a whole slew of ideas and functionality.. (deployable turrets anyone?)
Already being worked on. You see those animals running around with traders? Players will be able to have those too.
You'll be able to hatch any animal, and it acts as a pet instead of a party member (not controlled by player, a vote for this was made some time ago, and the outstanding support for non-controlled pets won.) This includes pack animals, beak things, wolves, and other future animals to come.. Including leviathans..
IE.
bedroll 0.5 regen
Tent 0.25 regen
Tent + bedroll 0.75 regen
Player build bed 1 regen
Mr, Floppy beds 1.25 regen
There's no logical reason that mr.floppy's beds should be better than player created ones. Mr. Floppy is only meant to be a temporary supplier until you make your own outpost. Not to be better than your own.
