Right click stopped working?
Game works fine, right click works fine outside of Kenshi

When trying to right click and access the menu when clicking on e.g. an NPC, it's not working. Sometimes it comes up, dissapears instantly, doesn't show at all etc. Any ideas? Tried resetting controls to default

I would try enabling VSync if it's not already on. Also try disabling other programs or settings that can do in-game overlays. Like the steam overlay, etc.

Other than that, the only thing that comes to mind is the mouse needing cleaning or the button is going bad. While you said it works fine outside of Kenshi, did you test right click and holding specifically? I would go to the desktop and try doing selection boxes while holding right click, if the mouse is having issues they would sometimes drop despite you not releasing the button, and would explain the issues you're experiencing.

Did you by accident turn full screen on? The game works only on Borderless

You are playing on borderless and the right clicking map to move the selected pawn does not work? Or you cannot open character menu?

Unfortunately I am running out of ideas. Shidan is the tech wizard of us, I'll ping him.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I do not know if this will help but here is a thread where it happened to another fella and he was able to resolve it.

Bit embarrassed to say this, but I tried right clicking and dragging on desktop and it seems my mouse has an issue - clicking is fine but clicking and dragging, which i need in kenshi, doesn't. Thanks!

See? This is why we ask Shidan :)

I have lost many a mouse to the buttons wearing out over the years, so the experience just sounded very familiar.

At least the issue has been identified, so it can be dealt with. :)

I am using heavy duty gamer's mouse. By the weight it might actually contain metal parts. I have abused this one to the moon and back, it has fallen, water's been poured on it and I mod and do some gaming. Granted I do not play any first person shooters, so my click count might be significatly lower than yours, but this is over 10 years old now. And yeah, it costed somewhere between 2 to 3 hundred euros when I bought it back then. But its been worth it.
