Can you save scum to get a masterwork result when crafting?
So I'm currently doing a solo torso start run. I'm 100 days in and for about 30 days now I've been trying to craft a masterwork blackened chainmail. Despite having nearly 90 armour smithing I just can't seem to get the masterwork.

Since I'm solo, I can't just leave and do stuff while I wait for the masterwork to proc and would like to move on with my life. Does anyone know if saving just before the craft is over and loading till I get the masterwork is a thing? Thanks.

How did you get to 90 armour smithing in such a short time? My smith is working day and night for more than 300 days now, is level 86 and is barely making any progress any longer. 1% takes a couple of RL hours now...
Are you using mods or do I miss a trick?

I hit 86 yesterday. That's what I meant by "nearly" . And at that point it gets ridiculous. I'm no longer trying to level it up (I'm not even sure if it actually improves your masterwork chances)

I just want a masterwork blackened chainmail so I can never touch a blacksmith/chainmail crafting ever again!
