Shoudlent be supprising people love to attempt to change other peoples opinions.

Actually helping someone with a problem is hard :P

To answer your question though, theres pretty much a different .NET framework version for every single application that uses it. Dont ask me why, I dont know All i know is I have installed Visual C++ or Microsoft .NET Framework more times than the number of jobs myself and my immedaite relatvies have had.

What exactly does error say (im assuming your getting an error message of some sort)

Here's the details of the error
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Means missing or corrupt file.

Everything else is pretty much developer/programmer mumbo jumbo to me. But the main problem is something is off with that one file.

Look inside your Steam/steamapps/common/Kenshi/Data folder for a file called Mods.CFG
If its there open it with Notepad and see if it has mod names in it.
If its not there create a new file using notepad save it leave it empty and save it as Mods.CFG

Im curious, what were you trying to do inside the FCS?

Well, I've tried alittle bit to modify some game data like info and stats and modify the game its self but I doubt I could do much I don't know quite why it says i'm not able to but I cannot like open mod files and stuff and edit them really w/o using the gamebase data which destroys the game for me. If I could send you a screen shot or something of my files you could tell me if I was missing anything,

You may find this[www.lofigames.com] useful.

I would suggest revalidating your game files through steam to see if it may correct your issue. Saving over the basegame data is not a good idea.
Nadlug Mar 17, 2016 @ 7:31pm
When you open up the FCS there should be a window with gamedata.base at the top labled as *ACTIVE*

Thats the games base unmodded files.

What your indended to do is click New mod, specify a name then click done and go on modding.

What this does is create a mod with the name you chose and imported the gamedata into it which you can freely modify. Its actually quite simple once you figure your way around the FCS

If you dont do the new mod thing you wind up editing the default game files.

Now Mods.CFG isnt actually a mod file, its the load order file for any mods you want running.

Basicly if your not on the experimental build with its fancy mods menu you have to add the mod by name into Mod.CFG in order for the game to load it.

Also what lumi said.
The FCS guide is pretty good and shwoing you around the utility and Revalidating your files on steam will fix any missing/corrupted files.

Your definately missing some files, and gamedata.base dosent match the filesize shown on my system.
I would say revalidate your game files on steam but it seems that you dont own the game on steam. Youl just have to redownload the game.

Like it says "Could not find file"

The file itself is missing and you wont be able to run the construction set untill you make it manually or redownload the origional.
