So why comment then?
To say how impressed and pleased I am with the degree of useful and polite help offered by those who replied. No mocking or belittling, No sarcastic suggestions deliberately meant to be non-helpful (though presumably funny.) No smug "Lawl, git gud, n00b !"
Just straight forward helpful advice for a new player seeking help.
You are all rock stars as far as I am concerned.
What video?
Is it on YouTube?

Note how he uses a weapon to bolster himself until he's tough enough for MA to be feasible - cos otherwise "get my siht pushed in" is a constant description, not a term of offense.
i have started doing runs with fewer, more elite peeps where i combine MA with crappy xbows to help push up dexterity and pad out damage at low levels.
I reckon if you started a game with 4 swordsman and 1 martial artist wearing samurai armour, the MA would be level 60 by the time the sword guys are level 50.
You say in heavy armor right? I'd recommend against using really any armor when doing martial arts as most have heavy debuffs towards MA stats and dodge skill.
That's the way training works though, you want your character at a disadvantage so they earn xp faster. You put on the hand wraps and assassin gear after you reach a high enough level to not break your arm punching another guy in samurai plate.
Current play through my main was the 1 armed with nothing start. Got a decent cyber limb and went MA early with no complaints. It wont make you the toughest fastest, but can sure be handy especially if dealing with guards who want bribes to let you keep weapons( may be a mod I use lol not sure if that is vanilla guard behavior anywhere)
Here's a quick outline/summary for leveling up Saitama. I'm going to assume you dont give af about spoilers if you watched AA's videos.
1. Run straight to Squin and buy a wooden backpack.
2. Run north to Vain and start stealing Beak Thing eggs. This is probably going to get you murdered if you have no experience doing it. You can stealth past Beak Things pretty easily if its dark, even with 0 sneak. I would try training stealth by walking around a hiver village until it gets dark if you've never stolen eggs before.
3. Use your fortune to swim out to the Armour King and buy the highest quality Samurai armor pieces. This is gonna cost you quite a bit. Masterwork Samurai Armor is about 32k, legplates are about 16k, helmet is about 10k. Boots aren't really necessary, or even wearable by certain races. Use wooden sandals so you run faster. For a shirt it doesn't really matter either.
4. Run to Skinner's Roam and find a giant group of Hungry Bandits to beat you senseless aka train your toughness. You probably want a sleeping bag and other first aid stuff so you don't accidentally die. Remember to press sneak before you get up so you have time to heal yourself or escape. Repeat until Toughness is trained.
5. Run to Howler Maze and find a giant group of small crabs. Punch them for a few days until your Martial Arts is trained. This will also level your Dexterity and Strength to some extent.
6. Punch someone so hard they fly a football field away.
MA is designed around light or no armor, some light armor and clothing increases MA skill. Heavy armor literally has negatives skill to MA, it also greatly reduces dodge and combat speed which is critical to someone without weapon reach. I would strongly suggest you read the actual stats on armor.
Even Masterwork armor has massive negatives to MA
-Martial arts bonus -10
-Dodge skill effect 0.60x
-Attack damage effect 0.85x
-Combat speed effect 0.94x
These negative are compounded with other gear with negatives. Anything that lowers Dex also has a massive effect. Stack more negatives on even just the chest and you are crippling yourself and gaining nothing.
Sleeveless Dustcoat, is for MA
-Dodge skill effect 1.10x
-Attack damage effect 1.05x
-Martial arts bonus +6
Assassin Rags and Ninja Rags also give similar bonuses and even increase Dex.
Martial Artist Bindings, shirt layer of clothing
-Attack damage effect 1.05x
-Fist protection 70%
-Martial arts bonus +4
Gi and Gi Pants
-Martial arts bonus +2

Scroll down to Combat Techniques and see the impact on even the types of attacks you are being prevented from using because of the skill negatives. Not even taking into account the basic damage loss from overall skill.
Critique the game, not each other.
Thanks for the advice.
Know only step 1 and 2, the rest are new to me.
