Reactive World vs Living World vs Genesis?
Which one if the best one? They're all mutually-exclusive so which one is best to play with?

Thanks for the reply!
I already have annoyingly-lengthy load times using Reactive World so that's good to know, I'll keep Genesis on the backburner for whenever I get my hands on a stronger computer. Mechanically-speaking, how are they different? Particularly between Reactive and Living World I'm struggling to understand how they're different, though I guess I'm just not seeing it right
reactive world doesnt really change much, where are Genesis changes practically everything and adds many new weapons and armors and i believe buildings and towns. its a great idea in concept, but fails due to the game's engine only being single threaded. it does to much.

Reactive world has a more cannibal factions with funny names, the author put more effort on the North Western part of the map imo. Living world is more well rounded.

I see! Still struggling to survive long enough to see any big changes with Reactive World so I'll have to take your word for it :)

I really don't like Genesis, it's just an amalgamation of random mods all thrown together into one mode pack and many of those mods don't fit in with the world. Reactive World on the other hand expands faction interactions in a lore friendly way.

Reactive World expands the game's focus on the four primary factions-- the United Cities, the Holy Nation, the Shek Kingdom, and the Hiver... Hive. There's more reactivity for aligning with and opposing them. I really love it and think it's the perfect compliment to the core Kenshi experience. It has something for every playstyle, even if it's not radically altering anything. It's also pretty modular, so you can pile a lot of smaller mods on top of it.

Living World has a broader focus. It allows you to join up with minor factions and gives you a lot more options on how you play. It's been too long to remember specifics but I went back to RW after missing some of its smaller changes (though admittedly I never got as deep in LW, and haven't tried it in quite some time) so hopefully someone else can chime in with a deeper explanation of it. It's the one I'd use if RW wasn't around, for sure.

Genesis is super impressive as mod but it's also A Lot. I didn't play it for long because the loading between zones made me think my computer froze a few times. I want to stress, it's a really impressive how much it /changes/ and packs into the zones, but the sort of experience I personally seek is not a total conversion of Kenshi, so much as an enhancement; RW and LW deliver that, Genesis does not.

It's a lot of smaller stuff, though it's biggest selling point is all the new/improved World States. Those are changes to the map when an important NPC is killed or captured, so you won't see any of them immediately. All of the major factions have new ones.

Shidan's Tweaks & Fixes (from the same person, Shidan!) can also be used to add more, smaller changes, like having some robotic-limbed NPCs populate the world.

I use Reactive and Sigmar seems to work together. Re-imagines a few factions. But there is a way to trick a game into using more then one core i know its in your gpus settings just cant remember since i had not needed to do it in a while.

I'm playing through Genesis right now and that's no joke. The loading is real, especially in certain areas. The swamp is terrible.

How about you consider who made which mod? We know who made RW (one developer), therefore it's most like the original game. Who made Genesis is a whole lot of rather young mostly American kids. It's like a museum, you can go around and marvel at the contents of American youth's brains. I don't know about LW, who is it, can someone say? There is also Kaizo, it's very subtle and I was impressed, for example it put some blackshifters near the unwanted zone, such subtle touches is what some people such as MYSELF might enjoy. Speaking of RW, do you guys think there is a character representing Chris Hunt in game? I think there might be.
Why, the one character that represent him perfectly is the one that he wrote, Beep !

Thank you all for such indepth explanations! I'll stick with Reactive World then, those loading times sound horrifying!

Note that a huge majority of the good things genesis brings does not come from genesis itself, but from mods genesis includes. Therefore you can have all the good stuff without the downside of genesis.
OMO's armor mod for example does a lot for genesis's atmosphere but can be installed as a stand alone.

reactive world, living world are good mods, but so is Kaizo.
Kaizo brings more changes, but is discreet, well thought, well made and enriches the game while still respecting lore, atmosphere and loading times.
