"I don't have any building materials"
I have searched/reviewed similar titled threads. Have installed Enhanced Survival Challenge 2.5, so some constructions have different material requirements, such as 'Advanced Electronics'.

My Char has the correct building materials in inventory, at least according to the ESC construction menu. Most of the materials were removed, but some "required items" remain (copper plates), and still getting "I don't have any building materials"...

I added more of all the required materials, and even added some 'Building Materials" (long green boxes) but that did not help.

Before deep dive into mod files (which I am not well experienced, but can muddle thru...) am I missing anything obvious? Thank you for replies, S!

OK thank you, the issue is with large wind generator: 2 Advanced circuitry, 5 copper plates, 8 iron plates. Char loads everything into construct except the copper plates (are left behind in inventory - not put into construct).

FYI, I have GOG version of Kenshi, and D/Led the ESC 2.5 mod before steam closed the browser access to workshop. Now I cannot even post to the workshop discussion. Mod author recently posted they do not check nexus forum.

May be a mod conflict, but pretty sure I have nothing else installed that would affect construction files.

Free up some inventory space and see if he fetches something else?

In FCS the EHC 2.5 has Wind Generator with the materials as listed above: 2 Advanced circuitry, 5 copper plates, 8 iron plates.

So to troubleshoot I put Wind Gen on flat level surface (before was on hill behind main settlement building - but char could 'reach' and work on it).

Even on flat level surface, the char began adding materials, then stopped/stood up, so prompted them again to 'build' and they started again (can see progress slider second time), but once slider done then they stopped again. Further prompting only results in "I don't have any building materials" and yet the required 5 copper plates are still left in char inventory...

I can build to completion (fan spinning) the small Wind Generator, but building the larger Wind Gen immediately after (with all materials in back pack) results in same failure. So I'm at a loss, why are the copper plates not being taken out of char inventory to complete the build? Copper directly inside Char back pack when told to build...

Another Mod conflict? I'm trying to see in FCS if this is the case, but again, not well experienced with this tool, but have resolved mod conflicts in BGS and CDPR games, so not complete noob to modding.

I think I see the mistake here. The Wind Generator does not take copper alloy plates, but rather raw copper itself. So you've brought the wrong material.

The small wind generator, and the level 2 large one, both require electrical components instead. And so there is no confusion on materials.

Raw copper!!!???!!! (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)ﻭ

OK will try, but yeah, raw copper not making sense in context AFAIC...

Yeah, I've no clue what's up with it. But it's a vanilla thing, not even from the mod. I expect it probably has something to do with suggesting you're using the copper to make copper wiring, but why not just use electrical components then like the other generators?

To make matters worse, it actually used to use electrical components, and got swapped off for some unknown reason. It certainly is an oddity. :P
