Report a translation problem
I always assumed it was the circles anyway. But looking at it now, I can totally see how you could think the strips could be eyes.
Unless the captain or his crew come in, we may never know...

Well that settles it, I've been looking at them wrong the entire time.
Regarding color, yeah I didn't originally think the three circles on the head were lenses because of the color too, thought they were just some design or a headlamp that was suppose to go on for the skeletons at night. But the lenses on the head will turn blue / glint at the right angle, which is what originally caused me to second guess.
Thanks all - now to go force my mind to see the face the correct way, not easy...
Sadface, knowing this, they just look bluddy rediculous.
