Ah, okay. Thats kinda what I figured, that it was some kind of immersion or something.
Just wanted to be sure there wasnt some kind of mechanic behind it or something.
one can be for against humanoids, another against animals or robots.
just depends on which weapon in which slot you have.
game will auto select the proper one.
plus is looks nice.
So if you put two swords into the primary slot (two wakizashi for example), the game will chose the better of the two for the situation youre in?
It seems most of the ninjas had two of the same exact weapons if I remember correctly.
When you say which weapon in which slot, what do you mean? Because they have 2 weapons in the same slot, leaving the other one empty. Thats why I was curious.
Usually I carry something like a paladins cross in my main slot, then a katana in the secondary/indoor slot.
But they just put both in the primary

Ohh, okay very nice. I was confused because I was talking about the ninjas carrying two of the same weapon in the same slot, so when you said using different weapons in different slots depending on situation it made no sense to me.
So, to clarify then, when ninjas carry two ninja blades in the same slot, it offers no benefit or purpose as far as gameplay mechanics go?
Didnt know you could carry 3 different weapons and have the game use all 3 in different situations, had no clue it was that dynamic, that rocks!!! Danke ;)
You're correct - they carry two Ninja Blades, and never have a reason to swap between them. The whole indoors/outdoors/animals/robots thing isn't the reason why they carry the extra sword.
My guess is that dual-wielding was planned, but ultimately never implemented.
It's extra Cats for you if you overpower those Ninjas. Those Ninja blades don't come cheap. I just guess it's the prestige of carrying such a blade, but twice.
as for duel wielding, it was never planed. mostly due to a lack of animations for it. but it was never planned as a feature.
If so, that is your answer
