Wheat Straw - Is ther even any?

Have yet to find any wheat straw except 6 pieces in Blister Hill and the ones lying around in shops. Holy Farms don't seem to have a selling NPC and none of the other Holy cities seem to stock it either.

How the heck are you supposed to get tons and tons of wheatstraw for your farms if its so rare?!

Holy Farms DO have a seller. That's generally where I pick up my starting crops. Otherwise, try Trade Goods stores, they can usually spawn any crop (depending on faction).

Spent almost 10 minutes running around one, trying to find the NPC that sells it.

Typically the Holy Farm Leader is inside one of the buildings. Though be careful, sometimes they see it as a crime to enter.

i usually get most of my supplies in Worlds End..they have 2 construction shops there..they always have wheat, cotton, cactus and hemp

Go north to World's End. You can get enough to learn how to grow it and start a crop in two visits. Or, go to Waystation and just buy it up over three or four game days until you have enough.

You can get pretty much everything you will ever need at the World's End shops. The only thing I have not run into at this point it rice.

I remember that very well shidan but i havent had that issue in months myself

For me it seems the farm seller is always in a 'storm house', that farm by the road was the only one i ever had issues with if i recall correctly but its been no problem for months


Sometimes though they are simply not around, were probably captured/killed maybe even ran off for some reason (couple times a holy farmer would travel all the way to my base (but i think its because he was injured? he showed up and started using a machine but after giving him first aid he would leave. Felt like helping a stray animal lol

if i remember correctly you can find riceweed in hive villages..

Yeah, I used to go by the 6 different hive villages quite frequently when they had the ancient research books. Never saw any rice. Also went to every town/city we currently have access to. I dont need it anyways so its not a big deal. I figured it will be there when the rest of the map opens.

you probably missed it..cause the riceweed does not have any icon yet similar to a fog mask :)

You are absolutely correct. I started a new game last night and I am in the south this time. First hive I ran into I saw what you are talking about and wondered what I was looking at. Yep, it was the riceweed...sigh

I have my base at leviathan coast. Western hive villages and caravans to my city always have it. Hivers always have it. You basically need only 10 wheat. Every other pieces you grow yourself

Another way to get it is to farm it yourself. The holy farms tend to grow cotton and wheat.
If lucky the field already has wheat straw in its inventory else you need to water it and wait.
Did that with cotton to get it before starting an base.
Downside is that you need an pack animal or an group to get it all home.
