Animals around black scratch for food?

I cannot find any animals for food in the above mentioned area. Is there any indigenous life to kill for food?

I cannot think of any right off the bat. Only time I settled around that area I was farming. Otherwise I bought fish from the fishing village or food from the bars of town.

Just SW of there, in the Unwanted Zone, literally every spawn in the region is an animal. Plenty of food to be had if needed, though some of it fights back.

As noted, you'll have to hunt outside the area for animals. (The bandit and subfaction spawns probably take up some room. )

However, you can buy raw food materials in the shop. (Flour, some other stuffs I think.) IIRC, I did that when I was there and running a bit low. Though, food is also available in the bar.

Thanks all! With a party of 24, they eat a lot.. Looting the constant fighting of grass pirates and that other one with the cheap armor is a sure fire for $, however, I am buying out all the food from the surrounding towns lol! I crossed the forbidden/giant laser zone and am now surrounded my gorillos and land bats.. Oh my...

Is Gut to the North West? You can hunt Beak Things. There's enough food there to feed entire nations.

Yep the Gut is sea of meat (beak things). I have a 4 hunter guys (stats in 30s) and usually from one Gut hunting trip they bringing like 400+ meat and it tooks like a half Kenshi's day. You just need a cooking stove and a good cook (to cook fast). Oh and almost forgot, and i have a couple guard guys (in 50's) to protect hunters from grass pirates, reavers then they bringing the meat. Forget the Forbidden Zone, there's crabs and i find crabs are more difficult than beaks to fight ,they can stun lock you and u'll take a lot of damage, sometimes u can say bye bye to your legs, otherwise beak things has a really slow attack - easy to block and best strategy to fight beaks 1vs1 (cuz beaks aoe).

Crab is to the shore on the west. Beak thing is also nearby travel to south east, between brink and black scratch
