Farmer won't haul water to growing plots
So my farmer refuse to move water to the farming plot unless I remove all of his jobs and re-assign them (including the farming job).
The job is at the top of the priority list, so he should do it first-hand.
Does it have to be done manually each time?

setting the job just to the farm should be enough.
and they usually don't haul until it's fully out of water. as they don't normally haul until it's completely full.

Yeah but even after the water is out he wont haul it there so it stops growing.
you got jobs set to each plot?

Yessir. He will actually do it, it's just that after 2 or 3 times he will stop and I will have to re-set the priority for it.
try rebuilding your navmesh
Ctrl + Shift + F11

I did when it first happened, didnt work.
odd then.
best thing to do is zipup the save folder with the issue and upload it for the Devs to look over.

You can use any of these free cloud storage services
dropbox[www.dropbox.com]
googledrive[www.google.com]
File Dropper[www.filedropper.com]
or the main forum[www.lofigames.com] ( 10 megs max ) to post your bug reports.
For Steam just post the link to the file in your post.

Any free cloud storage service should be acceptable long as it offers free access to the data for non registered users.
Sometimes if their isnt space in the characters inventory (not backpack space, the actual inventory) they can refuse to do things, like not carrying water.
And you are probably aware, but it cant hurt to mention that characters cant reorganize their inventory, so a few bits of food can clog things up if they are trying to move big water barrels.
failing that... maybe the output is full?

An other way that works for me is to :
- first assign them to use farms
- last assign them to haul farms

I think this may have been the problem. I thought they would use backpacks for these things.
It hasnt happened for a while now, atleast.
Thank you.

Another option if you have a spare character, is to make him empty wells. If they are automated he will put all the barrels they create in water storage, but if that is full or if you simply don't build one, he will move it all directly to the farms.

i suggest we be allowed to research water pipes...it would negate the need for all of this cept filling the water storage in the first place unless youve an auto well

Bit of a late reply, but as this popped up for me when searching for a solution... check inventory has enough space for the water. Takes up heaps of space, so even a bit of junk renders your farmer useless.
