1. Had you tried turning on fast zone hopping?
2. Are you playing the experimental version? If so, had you turned off the load distant town?
Hey there! I have tried fast zone hopping, unfortunately my pc runs seems to run out if ram when I do so, Haven't tried using the experimental version, tho I doubt it'll help much since it the load times are persistent even in the areas of the swamp with almost no town, thanks for the options tho!
Sorry to hear that, but it's at least some kind of relief to know that my case isn't out of the ordinary :p
This is far outside of vanilla game behavior, IMO.
What are your basic system specs? You can get that directly from Steam: Steam->Help-> System Information-> Right-click on it and choose "Copy to Clipboard" and paste that in a thread. THEN, be sure to delete the stuffs we don't need as well as any personal info you don't want to share. Just include your CPU, GPU, OS, Sound, etc. (I think they've actually shortened the specs displayed, there.)
What display resolution are you using?
What display mode are you using? (Try borderless window. It can help.)
Vsync? On or off? Try turning it "Off." Or "On" if it's already off.
Try turning off the Steam Overlay, just in case that's always been causing problems, but you only see the evidence here: Steam-> Library-> Right-click on Kenshi-> Properties-> UNTOGGLE "Enable Steam Overlay" (Sometimes causes resolution mismatch, mouse, vid issues.)
hence why it has not bene suggested.
but it is suggested to do it once a new area is loaded, more so cities only though. to fix pathing issues when the area is loaded.
