And yes, you can leave people behind in towns, you just have to make sure they aren't going to starve, and you leave them somewhere safe (as in, don't leave them in a shop where they could get arrested, or out in the open where they could be attacked).
Alright, thanks for the info. I'll have to play it safe a little longer then. I've got a house in Brink that I can leave my guys in.
My fault on being stuck in Brink. I hitched a ride with a caravan hoping to eventually make my way to the Hub, because I heard that's the easiest place to start. Instead, I got stranded in Brink. Been selling a ton of iron ore to get by.
you don't have to stick around and mine to get your monies. you can loot NPCs that have fallen. Bandits are best to loot. as you don't want to upset the local authorities by stealing their gear and selling it. they tend to not approve of that.
Exactly what I was going to say. 20kmh golden rule.
exploring ♥♥♥♥ is a great way to make money
and often enough you come across ruins with CPUs, skeleton muscles and power cores which are worth big money
cpus especially
and sneak at least to 30.
be mindful and mostly run or hide. to know when to hide might save you quite often, as long as you spot your enemies.
you could even get someone you are willing to leave behind if things go out of hand, or who is naked and leads enemies away.
don't run into nests, especially with the "more dogs" mod
and if you ever have multiple people on different locations, don't switch back and forth or maybe, the game might spawn constantly enemies.
get some camping gear research, some fabrics for tents, sleeping bags
sneaking, running away and being prepared are for sissies
turtle your self up in armor and pick fights constantly
atleast then you won't bleed out but just get knocked out
though be sure to bring some first aid kits and splints for insurance purposes
also this way of playing the game is absolutely ideal for leveling up your combat skills and general toughness
