All have crossbows
I always have crossbow users. They're seriously "Overpowered." :)
I run up to 50/50 Melee vs Crossbow users.
I could have more if I'm on the road training what are destined to be just Camp laborers like farming/crafting characters. They'll get some crossbow training and basic weapon skills. Everyone fights...

They feel pretty op, even more so if massed.
Hivers with prosthetic steady arm/scout legs work amazing. I don't usually kite but use positioning. Have the 2 eagle cross further back on higher elevation while the MKIIs at the front drawing aggro is enough for most groups. Their crossbow skills are in the early 90s and martial arts in the 60s, plus 90s stealth. Managed to take down Stack and Bad teeth with my crossbow squad only (lured a bonedog nest to the gates). By the time I've downed all the paladins some boned dogs are still alive lol. So far having more fun with them then my heavy armored weapons squad who is relegated to home defence/training.
