Do beakthing eggs respawn ?
I went last evening on a nice little trip to vein.

Brought my Master thief, and 3 packbulls and 3 runners that guard the bulls.
My thief sneaked into Beakthing nest, grabbed their eggs dropped those on the packbulls waiting outside vein, and when a bull was loaded up, a guard brought it back to town, sold the stuff, and in the mean time my thief was loading up the next Bull.

Perfectly planned and executed, robbed about 12 nests, totalling my profits nearing 400k :)
All good.... SO i went later back for a other round, noticed most nests where Red now, beakthings still roaming, but no Eggs..

So today i started to play again, spend a couple of hours in game (about 5 ingame days) and went for a third trip, guess by now everything should have respawned.
Indead nests were not Red again, but in no nest any egg was to be found.

So i was wondering, do those Eggs respawn, but takes a longer time as to normal restocking period of stores ? or just like other rares only spawned once.
As Beakthings spawn out of nothing, and dont seem to "use" an egg to be "born" and the eggs are just rare trade items ?

Not sure if they ever respawn in the same nests, but the nests themselves with eggs will eventually respawn if you wipe them out.

Aye that i do know, used normally without a thief you have to kill every beakthing first, but hence i noticed now after robbing them, and leaving the beakthings alone eggs havent reappeared.

yeah you probably need to kill them all so they can respawn

I mean, it's probably a bit "Cheaty" and "Gamey", but you can probably import your files. If the Gutters are no issue to you, you can crank the nests number right up. You could sit there indefinitely just wiping out all the nests.

They respawn only if the next has been wiped out. I do believe the eggs respawn, but some nests will spawn with no eggs.

Beak Things are notoriously difficult to track down and completely eliminate the nest, resulting in often one or two lingering longneck ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bobbing around preventing the chunk reset.
If you dont grab the eggs fast enough they will hatch another beak thing. It happen in my face when i was collecting there eggs. also not the eggs dont respawn but the nest do and sometimes that nest in the same spot spawn to another nest like bone dogs or bandits. they respawn randomly.

What EPG saw was a beakthing spawning into the game but not an egg hatching.

Some beak thing nests respawn at same spot, sometimes no eggs, one egg, a few eggs or around 15. It's random. Beak things spawn from nests usually are patrolling their nests, their action would say patrolling town. Other beak things in group roaming together are patrol group, their leader would say patrolling while followers would say following the leader. Patrol groups can spawn from nests too.

You can, put them in sleeping bags inside bughouse. You would need 2 gates to keep horde of wild beak things together. So when raid comes, you pick them up and drop them off on ground then run back in base and close the gate. Around 30 average beak things can finish off the usual raids easy. There's animal taming mod if you want but you would have to feed them and they eat a lot.

ah sleeping bag, how the hell you guys manage to get it stuck in it ? i try to exploit training by capture beak but when they wake up they just simply attack back my team instead of staying in sleeping bag, try both normal bed and bag dont work, or is it because im living in Y-house instead of bughouse ??

When you captured beak things, were they from nests or on patrol? Capture beak things on patrol, not ones from their nests. Because the ones from nests sleep on ground at nights then get up in morning, patrol beak things do not sleep and would be stuck in sleeping bags.

Bughouse is higher cuz of beak thing's long neck, especially uber beak things from bonefields. Any building is fine but their heads would stick out of lower roof when you load the game before kneeling down which I do not want turret guys to be able to see, that's why.
