Import Saves Reload Boss Characters?
I had to import a save because of a weird clipping issue in my base. My captured prisoners were mainly from Tower of Abuse, Cannibal Plains, etc.

When i went back to Tower of abuse however, the Screamer the False and Ponk never respawned. The loot and npcs did however. What gives? I thought everyone respawns on an import. I didn't hand those two guys in either. They were in my cages for training.

Did you tick the box for import dead NPCs?

Yes.

Also, the thing is, I didn't kill those two. I just used them as training dummies. It should've reset their position.

Do not check the import dead npc box if you want them to respawn.

Nevermind fixed. I completely forgot that that worked last time. Though I don't know why it resets like that.

It's because it's an "import the status of any unique NPC", not a "respawn any unique NPC". If they are considered okay by the game, they will reset back to their original position. If they are dead or captured, they will not spawn unless you turn that option off.

The option is made to preserve world states. If you've wiped a faction or something out, leaving the option ticked will import the fact that you did so. While un-ticking it will reset the world to default.

Forgive my necropost here, but I see your point.

I guess its time to farm- err- legitimately acquire bounties again for the United Cities. Does this mean I can theoretically keep multiple Bugmen bosses?

No. Because when you import it despawns all NPCs, unique or otherwise, including prisoners.
