How do i become allied with United Cities?
I'm guessing i need to bribe someone with an exorbitant sum of money? But where?
I'm located in an outpost between Drifter's Last and Clownsteady.

You'd have to go to their capital Heft, far to the northeast in the desert. The area you are in is the very fringes of their territory.

Could also deliver bounties to the police. That will earn you a bit of relations for each one delivered, eventually giving you an alliance.

Wrong side of the world, I'm afraid. Need to be in the capital of Heft over the northeast. Can't remember the guy's name right now, but the main boss's right hand man in the faction HQ is who you want to talk to. You'll need 100,000 cats. And possibly a large settlement too, I've not bothered with UC alliance yet so I'm going on what I remember, but at the very least you'll need the 100k 'donation'.

edit: or as Shidan said, bounties can also work. Go for high value targets and they'll give you bigger boosts than just random bandits. Alliance should be +50 or possibly +70 rep with them.

UC is the easiest as they have a LOT of bounties out. Anything can be taken care of with cold hard cash as well. but yes you are in their more wild frontiers as they own a huge chunk of the map you have a long trip ahead of you.

The desert isn't a very fun place, lot's of nothing, and growing crops there is hard.

There's miles of fertile land. Comes from the blue area. Don't actually go into the blue tho.. Or try it, see how it goes. But everything is fertile around the blue and south of it.

Then it turns to arid right in the middle of my base.

Scan the land a bit. hover a veg farm over the land just to see what grows there.

Just don't come near my base or I'll murder your whole squad and send any survivors to the slave camps^
Welcome to the UC

Welcome to the UC

Seems nice, might move my base there, i'm currently in the ass end of nowhere and it's not fun, all my visitors are bugged slave traders who attack me at my own base.

Do you have prisoners in any of your houses? If so, that could cause it. They will want to take them from you and they will commit burglary by beating on your doors, if your relations with them are neutral, that can cause a fight.
