How to avoid eyegore?

It's the first time i'm building a base and for some reason this Eyegore guy come, call me a terrorist and attack (even though i both kowtow and pay him cats)

Welp, i DID kidnap both Longen and Tengu and gave them to the anti-slavers (didn't ally to them nor anything, just did it to see if i would get a reward for it. Bad luck for me i guess) but nobody saw me doing it, didn't get a bounty and i still trade with UC cities regularly. So wtf is going on? (And is there a way to avoid it? Like settle down somewhere further away? Or is my game ruined until i have a strong enough squad to beat the guy?)

Not really. Eyegore's raid range is x3 larger than the size of the map, and is willing to enter any region no matter what.

Only way to avoid Eyegore's attack is to not dot he things that would trigger one, like attacking or kidnapping Tengu or Longen. :P

But if i manage to survive will he attack again or is it a one time event?

Unless you take him out, he will almost certainly return again. Or some Elite Hunters will.

if you ally with the anti-slavers ,they will likely send a force to help protect your base from eyesore...and the anti are high end powerful

They were not enough tho, and about a third of them died on the way from Spring to Storm Gap Coast. (My squad is just too weak right now, about 15 guys with combat skills on their 20s to mid 40s, a few workers who can't fight ♥♥♥♥, and a garru)

Do rebel swordsmen help too tho? With the anti-slavers i managed to take down a lot of the samurai (about half or so) with the rebels and a good bit of mercenaries i think i can pull it off

yes,rebel swordsmen also send help...but its nowhere near as powerful as anti....
Ive never seen anything defeat an anti-slaver force ? Did they get stuck in an acid storm or something ?

Can't say, i had no character near them at the time. Maybe a Leviathan or something (they did stop mid-way through for a LONG time. They only arrived in time bc Eyegore bugged and was standing aimless for about half an hour a few metters away from my base)

EDIT: eyegore just atacked again, this time i closed the gate by the time they reach the front of it (the dialogue doesn't seems to trigger if it was closed before) turns out they can't work around to attack the gate and the AI just let them stay there doing nothing while my guys keep shooting them. (they retreat after 2 minutes or so)

Guess i'm taking the gamey way out till i'm strong enough to beat them i guess.

EDIT2: nvm, by opening, letting a few enter, and closing to trap and murder them (rinse and repeat) i've managed to take him down. yay
