Paladin's Cross in one hand ?
So, theres this paladin who had his left hand destroyed, he continues swinging and blocking with a Paladin's Cross with just one hand ?

Only Heavy class weapons require both hands ?

Yes, only heavy class weapon require both hands for all their attacks. Though essentially all weapons lose some attacks from their list unless they have both hands, so they won't be at their full capability.

Destroy his other hand too! Then watch him run across the map like a headless chicken with 3 guys of your squad giving chase and leaving the rest of the team heavily outnumbered.

I wish in such situations the Benny Hill track would automatically play.
Maybe this could be modded in.

If unit status == running fast (or what was it called), Then add ambient sound benny-hill-chase.mp3 to unit :emofdr:

Yeah, for whatever reason carrying someone does not disable the hand from a mechanics perspective. It's odd. :P

I contend there is not a marginal difference between a fireman's carry, and having your arm chopped off, but maybe we're just splitting hairs!

I think Polearms require two hands too though.

You're right, I think they do. I tend to forget them since I never use any. :P

They so good thoooooooooooooooooooo.

Ultimate Cannibal/Fogman counter. So fast, huge AOE. Makes noob recruits really pull their weight while the big hitters do work on elites and such.

All my new recruits tend to train as a polearm light infantry unit before graduating into something like Heavy Infantry (Plank/FragAxe/Sun) Crusader (Merc Club/Cleavers), Rogue (Saber DEX tank) or Lancer (Polearm Specialist for Crowd Control)

I'll give you that, polearms are great newbie character weapons, given their frequent bonuses and lack of penalties. But are outclassed in basically every regard to other weapons, once you have the skills to use them.

A decent all-rounder I suppose though, but not my style. I tend to specialize, and carry multiple weapons for different scenarios.
