right now they hiring a 3d artist and a new programer.
there are no plans for DLC, free or paid.
it's another title different from Kenshi but just as ambitious as Kenshi is.
meaning lots of content and a large world would be my guess.
No rush to get back into it, there's still lots of bug fixing to do.
mostly pathfinding. just take a look at the forums. lots of people reporting issues. theres like 5 new post per day in the bugs section.
it's unlikely he will be using the same engine he made
as it just is not up to today's standards and he knows it.

Yeah, I thought so too. You won't really be able to release a new game with Kenshi's graphics in 3 years time (or however long it will take them to create their new game).
I think it'll be a PUNK style game or a Sci fi game but I have no idea, I'm fascinated how they would work long range weapons.
for all i know it could be a first person game now lol
but from what I do know based off of their twitter is they are utterly excited about the project.
could be like mount and blade/kenshi/rimworld who knows!
which is kinda lame considering how many things got pushed back to "luxury" after release features, and just the general amount of talk of "luxury" features up until a couple months before release.
not lame, just a sound decision by the Devs
Thou we will miss not having some of them added, but the Dev had to pull the trigger on when to balance performance versus content.
not to mention, have enough money work on his next project.
gotta remember as well, the luxury content was never promised to be added. only if they had time and resources to do so.
