Kenshi
[MOUSE-PROBLEM. - BUG..!?] - - - > *NEEED HEEELP!!!* < - - -
I changed some settings in the titlescreen-settings menu, so far so good..

But right after that, I can't click on anything in the whole settings-/ main menu
Restart game didn't help me.. In the steam overlay-screen or on the desktop, its alright there..

But Kenshi ingame.. Nooo chance for meee in the main menu, well.. :steamfacepalm:

Ya, I see my cursor in the main menu and can move the mouse without problems..
I only can't click-/ accept something & sadly must exit the actual game with alt + f4..

& yaa.. Ther is nothing going on with my mouse.. Just works perfect and is undamaged!

Is this any f%#k*ng ingame bug or I changed any mouse-setting by mistake..!? -.-'
Any godd*mn solution for my pretty d*mb problem here, mates..!? :thehook::steambored:

There's an option to use the OS/Hardware mouse. Try that.

But, to be honest, I always recommend disabling the Steam Overlay for any game that shows signs of having mouse issues. It's notorious for causing such problems. (Resolution mismatch issues, dead-clicks, etc)

I always disable the Steam Overlay for just this reason. Always. If you must use it, just plan ahead and enable it temporarily and disable it when you want to really... play. :)

that sounds like a mouse issue.

I know this is a necro but it came up at the top when I googled kenshi mouse not working and wanted to provide the likely solution in many cases especially if you enable steam overlay. I recently did so to take a screenshot and suddenly lost my ability to control my units or select them. For SOME reason enabling the overlay deselected the mouse buttons from selection and issue commands in the keybindings options. Was about to move my save folder and reinstall the game when I checked these and they had nothing assigned to them somehow. Click "selection" and reassign left click then hit "issue commands" and reassign right click.

If you suddenly lose control but your mouse if perfectly fine otherwise this is likely what's going on

the other possible reason is either full screen on (play with borderless people) or wrong resolution.

Mouse issue - I'm unable to left click and put a box around my squad to keep them together.

I have this issue before, try lower your graphic setting to low or medium. Its the lag make your mause move slow or move itself.

Few questions:
1) Did everything work fine before? If, what has changed?
2) Are you in the swamp? That is a very laggy place
3) Do you use Fullscreen? That has been broken years and won't be fixed, use Borderless
4) Steam Overlay? Off

I'm having deja vu, I just answered a thread of someone with serious mouse issues and advised the same, disable steam overlay. Doubt they bothered trying, they seemed to have a know-it-all attitude but easy to r/e/a/d on forums, email, txts...

My steam overlay is disabled. I will try the graphic settings. The only thing I did differently was get a new monitor. Everything was working as it should until yesterday. My mouse is working fine on all other games and I even tried another gaming mouse, but had the same issues. I'll report back with more detail if it's not working. Thanks for your response and help.

Finally figured it out. I had to reset the controls. Somehow it got off track. I was depressed for a couple of days with Kenshi not working properly. Today I'm happy. 😀
