Does the Holy Nation attack if I've built a base with robots or non human residents?
Thinking about building in their territory but I dont want them to be agressive to my faction just yet.

If HN patrol groups or prayer day dufuses see your skeletons then they'll attack, your reputation with them would only be affected if your characters defend themselves by hitting them back, not because your skeletons were seen. HN would start sending assault forces to your base if they turn hostile around -50 reputation points, maybe -30 at least.

they will attack robots on sight..
you have better options with others but could still result in attack on sight depending on the race.

Hivers and shek are okay, also you will need at least 1 male human (green or scorchlander) with the holy flame book and if you have too many females they will also get upset. They will never tolerate skeletons however even if you are 100 relations with them.

Last I played I was able to kind of cheat the system by keeping the non-humans out of sight. A wall helps if you don't mind the extra work. The HN guys stand out in front of the gate allowing you to send out a representative.

This. Just stuff your skellies (and anyone with prosthetics) into a building until prayer day is done.

Though if you're in HN lands where they have patrols, that could be risky until you have walls up to block line of sight.
