What are you trying to add? What are you trying to add it to? Shop? Loot? Specific character?

If you just want to add an item to a character's inventory, then open the character's file in FCS, select Inventory from the dropdown list, and choose whatever item you want to give them. The bottom of the little window gives you details of what the settings are.

Otherwise, more details needed if it's something else you're trying to do.

Ah, I see, you're using Open Any to directly open a file within the save? Yeah, the dropdown at top right doesn't work like that it seems.

This is a guide on save editing, but it's incomplete. I don't have any experience of this, so I can't really help further, I'm afraid.

Adding items via save editing is way too difficult to bother with honestly. Far simpler to add said item to a shop or something via a mod, then go buy it on the save.

Yeah, that's what I'd do. I looked at one of my platoon files and just nope, not dealing with that nonsense ;p

if it too hard then how do i add item to shop ?

First thing you'd do is make a new mod file, little button on the right of the window that pops up when you start the FCS. Then make sure that mod has the "ACTIVE" tag on it before you click done.

Then open the "Vendor Lists" section along the left, then select a vendor list you know where to find. Easiest one is "Bar", as it's used by essentially every bar in the game. After that you can use the dropdown in the top right of the entry to add whatever item you need to add. Then once it is added, save the mod with the button up in the top left of the screen, and load up your game.

You will need to either wait for the shop to restock, or import the game, in order to get the item to spawn.

You can buy an item and change their materials id, company id and basedata id in the fcs. Also change level if it is a equipment

Oh in your platoon there is a bunch of 0s, each of them representive of inventory states, charactereditor etc, if you click on each of them it should say what section they belong to eg. Backpack_content, back (weapon 1) hip (weapon 2) and so on. The materials id, company id and basedata id is links to gamefiles where basedata id is the item

basedata id in this case is the jitte, company im not quite sure what is and the materials make it a meitou quality

I figured out a workaround.

What you do is you go to an existing inventory preset like _useful build mats, go to the dropdown on the top right, click duplicate item, rename it to something descriptive depending on the item name, then delete every item, add what you want (if i were you i'd do one each for a single item if you want consistent numbers every time), edit the item count for how much you want, then save. like this[imgur.com]

Keep in mind adding items like this is actually adding an infinitely respawning item node, not an individual item. Which may or may not be a good thing.

On one hand, infinite stuff if you don't mind cheating. On the other, a mess that always respawns.
