2560x1440 resolution stretched oddly in full screen mode.
Borderless windowed works fine, but comes with the latency to be expected by using it. Using native 25x14 full screen, everything is stretched horizontally.

Besides Shift + Enter while in game, alt tabbing out then back in or selecting borderless at the first menu are the main options to fixing this issue.
This issue is currently unfixable by the Devs.

Alt tabbing out of the game then alt tabbing back in has always fixed resolution issues for me. Give that a try.

Found that out after I posted. Thanks for the help there all the same, Strudel.

Yeah thanks Strudel, just bought the game and have a 2560x1440 monitor too. :thumb:

Only selecting the "borderless" options allows the 2560x1440 resolution to work on my end.

Same here with the 2560X1440, and when i use 1920 X1080 it looks good but after 15 mins or so it colapses to windowed mode and the mouse pointer disapaers . I have found that 1920 X 1200 looks ok on my monitor and seems to be stable, 2 hours of play no problems yet.

side note if i adjusted the run speed buttons while in 1920 X 1080 it cuased the window colaspes aswell, don;t know if that has anything to do with the bug, just throwing it out there for the DEV's

I recommend just going borderless. I had this problem too.
Gerustroncio Dec 7, 2018 @ 9:37am
Yeah just use borderless, works perfectly.
Stryker Dec 7, 2018 @ 10:47am
Use borderless if you don't mind input latency.

.......I just searched for "stretched screen" and found this thread. I've been playing with a stretched screen forever... thanks for the fix, borderless has made this feel like a new game

the fact that this still happens is crazy...
Cattrina Nov 10, 2023 @ 10:16pm
It happens because the full screen issue is unfixable. I do not know if this is because the devs just could not find out why or just because it is much effort for something that can be fixed just by using borderless. In any case it remains so indefinitely.
