but you can toggle the circle item and that will keep that bag open
for looting with a pack animal you do need to search the bodies with a humanoid squad member first, but then you can select the animal and put the loot directly into their inventory (you do have to be within trading distance of the corpse/body)
you can also pick up items from one squad member's inventory and drop it on another member's portrait.
Does the little "o" button have a shortcut? that would also be helpful.
That doesn't really work with stacked/multiple items which is almost always the case with skins/meat
dragging each item one by one would take even more time.
The first character you had selected will now attempt to move toward the second character you right clicked on to trade with (as long as the game is unpaused). The second character will NOT change anything they were doing. Once the original person gets close enough to the second person then both their inventories will open and you can then move items back and forth.
Press and hold shift to transfer/drop stacks ;o)
Edit:- Also, if I want to distribute a ton of loot that I've just looted or stuff I've picked up from storage to share out, what I do is get someone else to trade (hold right click) with the guy with all the loot, then you can simply click each other persons avatar (or use hotkeys) who you want to give loot to and their inventories will open while always keeping the main loot holders bp open so you can distribute to each person. If that makes sense.
You may need to get them to come closer if they are out of trading range & their bp doesn't open immediately but you can do that easily by just right clicking in a free area of the screen for them to run to while bp's are still open.
...And then watch as those 4 animal teeth (which were somehow nicely stacked in the bonedog's mouth) now become unstacked in your inventory just to require tedious individual clicking to get them out. After this you remind yourself to just loot the meat and skin next time. ;o)
It makes sense, thanks! this will help a lot with management. Didn't know about shift dragging stacks either, i was only doing shift-right click before.
