If something required 0.5 Fabric, 1.5 Leather, then ingredients cost will say 1 Fabric, 2 Leather, but in reality 1 fabric 3 Leather would make 2 of them.
Ingredients are rounded up to nearest whole number
Fabric cost is the cost of fabric regardless of the main material.
If the main material is fabric add the two together for the actual fabric cost.
If something has 1 material cost, 0.2 fabric cost for example, if it's made at a clothing bench it costs 1.2 fabric, if it's made at a leather bench it costs 1 leather, 0.2 fabric, if it's made at an armour bench it's 1 armour plate, 0.2 fabric.
