Conquering towns?
Havent really been following actively but is conquering towns still going to be a thing? Or is it already? Or just if you attack and kill everyone its just empty and the buildings etc are unusable by you or can you claim them for yourself?

I mean town conquest is kind of there? Some world states exist that allow towns to change hands based on certain criteria but it's not quite the player conquering them so much as paving the way for a rival major faction to move in. But it's not quite what most would hope for as far as conquest goes.

yes, its kinda there but only for the NPC and is limited.

Some places like Fort Mirage for example, you can use their storages and beds after wiping them out but any of your items you store into their storages would be labelled as stolen after you reacquired them. But stolen labellings still can be removed after you store them into your own storages.

That's the one feature I really hoped would make into the game. I've been waiting for the last two years to unite the world under my benevolent dictatorship ;-)

Is it possible for the worldstate to change a town to one owned by the player faction? Or is the player faction not useable in the editor like that?

If so (or even not really).. I wish you could change worldstates with dialogue and other things.. Besides just killing npcs.

Damnit! I was hoping it was possible. I just wiped out the Dust King Tower and thought the location was awesome to start an outpost...
Not to mention some abandoned places that you can't claim for yourself...

I really would like to take over the Hub, as it's a pretty damn good position and pretty much free for the takin...

it was at one time but has since been dropped some time ago.

That's a shame. Hope they or he/she will do it in the future.

Is there a way to talk with the Devs or Dev? Discord Channel or a Forum or something?

the forums is how you talk to them.
they read them but rarely respond.

And dev already mentioned he will not be doing the town take over.
