Cut efficiency mechanics.
Can someone explain to me how that stat works, preferably in layman terms so i can understand without my head exploding:)

It means how effective your armor is at its stated cut ressistance. For example, armor has 20 blunt, 30 cut resistance and 50 cut efficiency. It means that only 50% of that 30 resistance will be completely mitigated. So actually only 15% of cut damage negated, the rest of the 15% will be transformed into blunt damage. Make note that this blunt damage won't be mitigated by armor's 20 blunt resistance. It will neither be mitigated by other layers of armor you might have.

Whoa thank you, now i get it. So that blunt damage, will it be mitigated by toughness?
Shidan Jan 24, 2019 @ 11:47am
Yes, it does get mitigated by toughness. It only ignores armour.

Thank you!

Your welcome, hey I have toughness question too... The fresh recruits, zero skill ones, start with something like -50% damage on toughness tooltip... Does that mean they reduce all damage by half to help them survive while they fresh or they are actually getting 50% extra damage because of low toughness?

It means they are taking MORE damage. It's negative resistance at low levels, so newbies take tons more damage compared to veterans.

Toughness damage resistance scales from -65% to +65%

I see thanks!

So there are Halfpants reinforced that have at standard grade 17% cut resistance and 0% cut efficiency. How does that work?
Shidan Jan 24, 2019 @ 6:29pm
17% of the incoming cut damage will be converted into blunt damage. No cut damage will be nullified completely.

Ah Thanks! What about the samurai boots that dont have cut efficiency listed on them at all?
Shidan Jan 24, 2019 @ 6:57pm
If no efficiency is listed it has 100% efficiency, so all resisted damage is nullified completely, and none is converted.

They probably need to fix it disappearing when at 100%. Can be very confusing. :P

Ahh i see, thanks a lot!

I have related question to this. If it doesnt least cut efficiency does that mean it has 100 percent or 0 percent?

Answered by post 11.

Also situations arise where more layers of armor is actually worse damage wise, than fewer layers. Explained in cut efficiency mod.
