How to improve faction relations?
Here is what i know.

You can improve relations if you deliver bountys to them.
You can improve relations if you pay them off (bandits).
You can improve relations if you ally with them.
You can improve relations if you do quests for them(Hounds).

Now here is my Problem. How would i improve my relations with the shek without giving bounties like lord phoenix or the bugmaster. Because i for once never seen a bounty which the shek have issued - only seen some from the UC. Is there any other way that i missed?

you can also heal them.. if you heal a diplomatic status character you can gain a lot of rep.. normal members of a faction will only give you very small amounts though..

Beat up a paladin.
Patch up paladin.
Drag paladin to Shek town.
Insert paladin into police cage / bar bed.
Laugh maniacally as said paladin gets into fight with police.

Hand in bounty for profit and lulz.
Use your medkits for extra relations when the police start running dry

For extra efficency, grab more paladins.
Anyone successfully gotten back to nice terms with the HN on a Holy Sword play through? Id love to just put paid to the damn fanatics, but im still rather low tier compared to their armed forces. (13 man squad with 25-35 in most stats).

Simplest method is to pay their Pacifier. 100K will put you back in their good graces, as long as you have not killed any important leaders of theirs, or allied with their enemies.

OK i knew healing them helps, but do they have to be downed for it to count or can you simply heal guards at the gate which are slightly hurt?

@ Shindan while you are correct that you can remove negative relations i was more interested how to "get allied without effort" meaning i would do smaller stuff and increase releations that way without upsetting the world balance.

That was more directed at Grail Knight's question. You already appear to know the only ways to alliances.

Unfortunately, your best bet is simply to turn in minor bounties you force via methods like suggested above. As healing will only get you to like 20-25 before it caps out, and the only infinite source of minor Shek bounties in vanilla are way down south, the Gorillo Bandits.

The thing with the gorillo bandtis is new to me... where exactly would i find them?

Right along the border, near the coast way down south. They are big bulky martial artists, can't miss them.

Edit: Nevermind, they aren't a good option either. Just noticed they only have a 3% chance for a bounty. :/

Dust King has a 35k Shek bounty and Sand Ninja Oni has a 10k bounty. But they are really better to recruit than to sell for a bounty, especially Oni.

For some reason the Slave Traders and Traders Guild started committing crimes in Squin for me... ended up having 50 dead dudes with bounties on them inside the city.

Turned them all in for an instant 100 relation :D

I know OP specifically mentioned Shek relations, so this is merely tangential. But still within the larger topic. Apparently some paths to alliance/hostility are "irreversible", at least in the sense that a mere trip to their faction Pacifier won't reset to ante status quo.

On one of my expeditions I allied (somewhat unthinkingly) with Flotsam Ninjas, thereby putting my band at permanent hostility with the Holy Nation. Never wanted to be *allied", per se with HN, but neither did I want to be insta-aggroed by Inquisitors and High Paladin groups during treks through their territory. HN Pacifier in Shark told me, "whoa...Flotsam Ninja, can't help ya there, buddy, you're on your own.".

It's not a big enough deal to make me want to revert to some older pre-alliance save or start over entirely. But it's probably a decision I wouldn't make again, at least not at that stage of my own group's development and exploration.

to remove faction alliance attack them so you go below 100 and then FCS to 0..
