NPCs forever in my beds

Title. I’m having an issue where NPCs I save and put in bed stay there...forever. I don’t wanna like kidnap them again because if they’re “normal” and not recovery coma they freak out and I lose faction rep. A Shinobi thief in my case and a HNO ninja. Bandages and saved them after a zombie horde tried to nom the hub. Now they’re just forever sleeping in me beds! I even gave the poor thief nice new prosthetic limbs of the specialty kind because the zombies ate his lil ninja legs! Is there a fix? I really don’t want to import if I don’t need to import. I did try a restart.

Didn’t think of that, I’ll give it a go if it happens again. I ended up just importing.

Uh oh...I just put about 5 allied Hundred Guardians into some bar beds after a nasty scrap with an HN Assault...I hope they aren't there forever (lol, or next update) now. Tbh, it's a bit of a mystery to me how they got so banged up in the first place...the HN group didn't have any Inquisitors or even High Paladins in it. I guess the recent armor/weapon changes have increased the relative strength of HN's cleavers vs the Sheks' armor.

if it happens again,
zip up the affected save folder and upload it to teh bugs forum.

I have found that dismantling the bed/camp bed will cause the NPC to stand back up. In the case of Mercs under contract, after they stand up save the game and then load the game. This will cause the Mercs to start following you again.
