I hope not, don't get me wrong i had fun but i'm not a fan of wasting 2 hours and not even being sure i will get Luquin.
Specially if it's import-wise.
Um, what do you mean?
I don't use any mods... except one which buffs Bonedogs and a mod for resetting faction reputation.
If you're asking how did i infiltrate the Vault, it was all vanilla.
I had my main character with 100 on almost all stats, specially Stealth,Thievery, Lockpicking and Assasination (robbing people blind is EXTREMELY profitable while letting you keep on the move), i lured a Skimmer group towards a patrol outside the vault, which prompted some gate guards to run to help.
I intercepted a lonely guard running to support and robbed him of everything, i had a disguise rate of 75% but i never got discovered as long as i didn't sneak in another's guard view. (tho sometimes their detection is bs), because of the massive stealth and knockout debuffs by samurai armor, i had to remove it every time i wanted to knockout someone which made it extra risky to do so. (pause is a MUST all the time, can't stand up without armor, can't sneak with armor, avoid being spotted as much as possible).
So, i just robbed the Meitou Jitte from the warden and his (better) body armor, got to the last floor and proceeded to knockout and imprison all guards who came up (which makes even more guards come up to shackle their former companions lmfao, that needs a fix), while equipping all prisioners with weapons and armor.
Even after breaking havoc on the understaffed place, i was the only one who didn't get knocked out unconsious and Espher & Sinklyde went into the dying state. (remove all items from your inventory before going in case you get capture but always carry a medkit and splits, maybe a decent weapon too)
Took me 3 in-game days and lots of reloads to successfully break them out... and even then, only the 3 recruitable characters survived and they were all in recovery comas... Hex was a alive and consious too, but she's not recruitable.. however, along with Luquin and Yabuta of the Sands they are the best and most dangerous/resilient fighters, equip them with your best guard loot.
Some prisioners are also good at being disguised (specially Hex), however if you want to free all recruits, you MUST fight your way out, i don't think you can escape with all recruits being disguised since they have terrible stealth stats and Espher gets instantly detected, while Luquin says "Fck it" and starts attacking guards (NPC Yabuta of the Sands will instantly go on a murder sprint too, release her last... also, some NPCs can escape after being unshackled but others can't, like Luquin, they need to be picklocked out)
It was a very fun experience, but too time consuming for my liking.
Which is why i'm a bit angry that Luquin doesn't seem to be a guaranteed recruit.
This time i tried doing something much easier, disguising as a guard, releasing him and then carry his unconsious body just outside the Vault, besides the usual dialogue, instead of leaving he mentioned how things change in so many years and he would need someone as skilled as [player character] to take down Tengu.
I don't know if you require negative UC relations but he did mention it was good i had issues with them.
Tbh it's quite annoying that you seemingly recruit only 2 characters per import considering how hard it is to free them... unless you exploit the game with a maxed out character.
I can but i'd rather not have almost everyone injured and spend more resources than what i may get back, specially twice.
Plus, new players definitely cannot take on Tengu's Vault.
