Building bridges...
... is there any way of doing so?

I've looked through mods, and the only one I can find that's close also unlocks alot of ancient structures as well (really shouldn't be building them IMO), and don't want to be researching techs from it by mistake...

I was hoping to build a town spanning two sides of a river valley, with bridges running across, so I can take advantage of a fishing mod, along with fertile ground for farming, but cannot find any suitable bridges...

Thank you, this was exactly what I was after, and had no idea that Shift+F12 allowed me to edit things in-game like that...

sorry to bring another necro thread back but i got the bridges built, but my guys either ignore them, or if i make them cross it they get halfway then fall through the bridge itself, i tried placing them then hit the "Fix" button to see if it would make new paths and it doesnt work, im guessing there's just no real way of doing this is there?

Hit Ctrl+Shift+F11 to rebuild the navmesh. It won't look like it did anything, but anything built using the Shift+F12 menu should become tangible after that.

well don't be sorry for the necro, the info is still valid and i surely benefit from it:-) So it's not a necro.
Honestly i never saw a big deal in this necro thing, people really have nothing better to worry about i guess:-)

You can also use walls, but it takes a lot of work for them to not look dumb.

I should have pointed out, if you're trying to make bridges out of walls, you should use TII walls, not III, and obviously not I

Regular necromancer here, but I wished to point out that after rebuilding the navmesh with CTRL + SHIFT + F11, save the game then reload your save. Upon loading, it should be updated and allow you to walk on said bridge.

Felt like I should have left this here because I was an idiot and thought just pressing it would magically update and fix it right away which it didn't. Though it still works after reloading it.

I personally used vanilla Pontoon bridges and used careful editing/spawing them via messing with their XYZ cords inside the town of Mongrel so it was owned by them but made a reasonable bridge to their copper source across from the canyon. In the end the situation worked out but I'm likely an idiot for giving Fogmen another way inside town.
Reloading can fix many things.

Just like that IT trope, "have you rebooted?" or "is the computer plugged in?" :D

You can use your defensive walls to build some decent bridges if you use the Shift+F12 menu.
