Splinting?
Probably really stupid question but whats the point of splinting? in game it says it allows you to be able to use limbs that have been broken, however when ever I use a splint kit on my guys their limbs still act broken, arms won't wave around like rag dolls sure but they cant use them still, and if its their legs they still limp around, so am I missing somthing? or does the effect of splinting correspond with how good the field medic skill is? cause the one using its field medic skill is only about 30 or so

They essentially act as fake HP for said body parts, allowing you to use the limbs as if they are at the new HP level. That said, if this new level is also unable to be used, you won't notice much effect.

If you've got -75 on a leg, splinting it up to -25 still means it's broken and can't be used. But splinting it up from -10 to 40 could provide a pretty decent increase to movement speed.

You also have to factor in the quality of the splint kit. The basic one is pretty much not worth even having, while the advanced one can be very handy in certain situations, as it splints more HP.

depends on healing level as to how effective it works also. It does indeed make a difference when applied to a badly damaged leg with good healing skill

I always use the advanced, never any lower ones. Makes a big difference when you don't want to be hanging around or moving slowly.
