Kenshi
Easy skeleton recruits with 50+ in most stats around rebirth mountains...
I've noticed that if you walk around the mountains near the armor king and Rebirth, there are roaming skeletons that will almost always join you if you just save and reload near them. As long as they are by themselves, this always works. These skeleton recruits almost always have 50+ stats in nearly everything.

Is this intended or is this an exploit? I think that they should only join you conditionally... like, if you're stronger than them or something like that. As it stands, I can take a new character and get a whole squad of skeletons on steroids way too easily.

I have no mods installed.

Many things in Kenshi can be "exploited" by save scumming. The random roll of whether a traveller will join you is usually one of those things. It really comes down to what you want out of your group.

Also, it's easy to get sucked into recruiting every NPC that crosses your path. Quickly you can have a lot of mouths to feed and a lot more micromanagement to deal with. There are a lot of wandering folks out there who will join up. Choose wisely.

I agree about some further "conditions" to get NPCs to join up, especially the more skilled/special ones. In my current playthrough I went from 8 people to 30 in about 2 days just from Slaves and Drifters wandering into my new town and asking me if they can join up. I had to learn how to say no. :P

I think it's working as intended, since it's been that way for along time.

Wouldn't mind if Scorchlanders were as easy to recruit as Skeletons are now, barely have any of them in my group.

There's a mod for that in the Workshop. ;)

I hope the devs nerf the likelihood of Skeleton squads roaming around Rebirth and Wend. Right now you can hardly walk 100 meters without encountering atleast one Skeleton, which increases the likelihood of getting this recruit. He's cool and all, but it's such an exploit. You can basically take a fresh Greenlander char and walk straight up there and recruit one, no save scumming needed.

Now its possible it seems to go for a skell run.

I would love to do a run with just skellies though, but it would be rough and you need to get tech super quick or you'll die.

Nah, the tech is nice if you're settled but it's not required. There are tons of skelly beds around. Loot up repair kits and find where the beds are and you're good to go.

What are you talking about? Of course they do. That's exactly the purpose of the Skeleton Bed.

Nah, you don't need another person, just needs power to function. I'd guess he was trying to use one in a town that didn't have enough.

I just had Burn crawl into the Skeleton Bed that I built. It has power and I've healed in it before. He didn't heal. Once I had someone work on the table and use Robotics, the healing began. It's always worked this way AFAIK.

Dunno what to say. I've never once had someone "work" a table, and I've repaired dozens of skeletons with them as I use them as training dummies. :/

Weird. I wonder why the Skeleton Bed has a worker slot then?

I just sat there with Burn for like 5 RL minutes. No healing. Once I told another to work on the table he healed right up. I wonder if the patient can also use their Robotics skill if they are conscious?

EDIT: I know nothing about how this works. XD

Thanks for your input.

I was mistaken. It happens. Sorry for any confusion, folks.

When skeletons get hurt repeatedly it lowers the maximum health they have in a stat from 200 to bit by bit lower from that. I think the skeleton beds only raise the maximum to 200 again when resting on them, but don't do squat to actually heal them.
